Safeguarding

Safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility.

Safeguarding is integral to life at The Regent Secondary School and is everyone’s responsibility.

Designated Safeguarding Leads

Operationally, this responsibility within the school falls to the Principal. As required in Keeping Children Safe in Education the principal appoints a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) who oversees the operational application of safeguarding and child protection within the school setting. The DSL is clear about their role, has sufficient time and receives relevant support, and training, to undertake their roles, which includes close contact with outside agencies including government organisations, and all other partners and stakeholders.
