ART AT REGENT SECONDARY SCHOOL

Art Education at the Regent Secondary School is regarded as a wide vocation which encompasses all aspects of human knowledge and research. Students at the school are engaged in a very varied range of experiences which include:

• Drawing
• Portraiture
• Painting in different media
• Sculpture
• Photography

Students are encouraged to focus clearly on the acquisition of skills by exploring a broad range of ideas and materials.

Students are also encouraged to develop their creativity and personal viewpoint by being aware of the importance of direct observational studies. In all years at Regent Secondary, projects are theme-based by being linked to major historical sources. The student of Art at Regent School will operate in an atmosphere of sound knowledge and understanding emanating from previous successful outcomes.
