Teacher Details
Akin Alufa is the Head of Assessments, Recording and Reporting. He is responsible for the effective coordination of the formative and summative assessments in the school by devising, scheduling and overseeing all academic testing and reports, and maintaining a detailed recording and pupil-tracking system for performance data and target setting.
He is a thoroughly-bred schoolteacher and manager with over two decades of professional experience in fostering quality learning and teaching best practices. Akin Alufa was first trained as a teacher at Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo before obtaining a degree in Science and Education at the Lagos State University, Ojo. He is also a holder of a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (International) – PGCEi – from the Nottingham University UK. He has followed the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme, the English National Curriculum for England and Wales and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) by Fieldwork Education.
Akin Alufa has worked both as teacher and school leader in many prestigious schools around the world, including an immersion experience at the respected Prince’s Mead Independent School in Winchester UK, an Assistant Principal for Early Years and Primary at the Greensprings School in Lekki, Lagos and a KS2 Teacher at the Compass International School in Doha, Qatar.
