Welcome to The Regent Primary School

Application & Entry Requirement

The Regent Primary School is very popular and many year groups have just a few spaces.  It is generally the case that the earlier you apply, the stronger will be your child’s chance of gaining admission. Preference is given to children who have siblings already in the School: all other applications are considered in order of receipt.

Families who are interested in registering their child(ren) for The Regent School should contact the Registrar in the first instance, by phone, e-mail or personal visit (just use the Contact Us button on the website), who will be pleased to help.

The Headmaster is always pleased to meet prospective parents and to discuss our school and the curriculum offer.

To apply, download the application form, fill out the form and return to the school with a non-refundable application fee of N25,000 after which you will receive an application pack.

The application form can be completed online and includes embedded fields for entering and saving information electronically.

Here is the Application form

Please fill in the document and save a copy of the completed form on your computer.

Print it, sign it and stick a passport photograph in the designated space.

Scan it or photograph it and send it as a file attachment to [email protected]

You can also post a printed copy to: The Regent School, PMB 502, Garki, Abuja or you can bring it at our address: The Regent School, No. 1 Euphrates Street, Maitama, Abuja

All children who wish to enter the School are offered an assessment visit, spending the day in a class appropriate to their age. For children entering Early Years (Playgroup, Nursery and Reception) this will include an informal assessment by a teacher and a discussion with the parent(s). For children entering Year One and above, the child will join in with all the class activities and be assessed in the English, Maths and Reading activities planned for the class that day.

This is not an examination, and no preparation is necessary, but we regard it as an important opportunity to ensure before a place is offered, that we can meet your child’s academic needs.

We do not publish our school fees on our website but this information is available via the school. The Registrar will be happy to advise.

Parents will usually be informed whether their child has an offer of a place at our school on the day following the visit. Visits usually occur on a Thursday and so you will know if your child has the offer of a place before the weekend.

Although it is preferable for children to commence school at the beginning of a term, we realise that this is not always possible, and we are happy to accept children at any point during the school year subject to the above conditions.

Where a place is to be offered, an invoice will accompany the offer letter and entry cannot take place until the invoice has been settled.

Where a place is not offered, the Headmaster will meet parents in person to explain why it is not possible to admit their child. In certain cases, conditions may be attached to the offer of a place, and these will be set out in the offer letter.

We ask prospective parents to understand that, as a school with a high academic standard which follows British curriculum, The Regent School always places children in the correct year group for their chronological age. We do accelerate pupils nor do we hold them back.

We look forward to hearing from you soon and to meeting you in the near future!
