The academic standard is high

The Regent Secondary School was founded in September 2007, when it occupied a floor of the Regent Primary School extended building. It started with one Year 8 class and two Year 7 classes. This initial school is staffed by a Principal, Deputy Principal (Academic) and a complement of nine specialist subject teaching staff.

Currently there are about one hundred and seventy- eight students and twenty-five specialist subject teachers in the school; the academic standard is high, and the school has an extensive extra-curricular programme of sport, music and drama of which it is very proud, giving all students the broadest education possible.
