School Fees for 2009/2010 Academic Session

Note: all fees are quoted in US Dollars unless specifically given in Naira

Application Fee

This is a non-refundable charge, required to cover application, entrance tests, and interview and administration costs incurred for students making application. It is a one-off payment on application to the school only.

This fee is for day students only, for lunch which school supplies.  Lunch is compulsory for all day students.

Medical Deposit

One off initial fee reimbursable at the end of the student’s time at school. It must be replenished at the start of each term so that it starts each term at the agreed sum. It is used to take care of minor expenses if a student spends time in the sick bay or is administered medication due to minor injuries or headaches etc. Dental fees and other medical fees incurred outside of school will not be charged to this account. The fee is not constant and may change annually.

Student Imprest

One off initial fee reimbursable at the end of the student’s time at school. It must be replenished at the start of each term so that it starts each term at the agreed sum. It is used for school trips, damages to school properties and other such costs that may arise during the term. The fee is not constant and may change annually.

Stationery and Uniform

Stationery and uniform items are available from the school shop, and are charged on a per item basis. For uniform requirements see the uniform list.

Additional Notes to fees

• Fees are payable in advance of the start of each term, and where fees are not paid by the due date the school reserves the right to refuse a student entry
• Tuition fees are NOT inclusive of external examination [IGCSE] fees at Year 11, and these will be billed separately in that year.
• Once a student has commenced a term, the fees for that term are non-refundable.
• Students who join the school part way through a term will be charged a full term’s fees if they join at any stage before half term and half a terms fees if they join at any stage after half term.
• Discount of 3% on tuition fee will be given where a full year’s fees are paid in advance of the commencement of term 1.
• Fees can be paid in Naira, at the exchange rate given by the school Bursar.
• Pocket money for boarders should be lodged with the School Bursar, and the money will be made available to the student for any personal spending during the term through his or her Housemaster or Housemistress responsible for that student. The amount should not exceed [=N=10,000] in a term.
