Safer Internet Week took place at The Regent School during the week beginning 20th February 2017, with a theme of "Stay Safe, Be SMART". We encouraged our pupils to Stay Safe, Be SMART by highlighting the importance of E-Safety and safe surfing. Although necessary protections and firewalls are already in place on the school's network, we have also set Safe Search www.primaryschoolict.com as our default homepage. Through the ClassDojo we also encouraged our children to have a Digital Detox Day at home.
During the Parents Forum, our winning ICT Team organised a Coding, Programing and Robotics display. Our visitors were amazed by the computer coding and programs our students have designed. If you would like to support coding at home, please visit the website .
Also at the exhibition were representatives from Engineering For Kids that brings STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Curriculum as part of our after school programme. The parents also had a chance to dive in the ocean and spend time with dolphins and fish using VR (Virtual Reality) Goggles.
